Explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon kills two, injures dozens

The earliest reports have 23 injured with two fatalities after two explosions at the 117th running of the Boston Marathon.

One of the most historical days in Boston has been marred by tragedy. Two explosions occurred at the north side of Boyleston Street, near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Without Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard has become the center of attention for the Lakers as well as the opposition.

The Los Angeles Lakers began life without Kobe Bryant against the San Antonio Spurs. The Lakers took out the visiting Spurs 91-86, but the victory did not come without its anxious moments. The Lakers blew and 11-point fourth quarter lead as Tim Duncan led a furious charge at the end. Dwight Howard had one of his more impressive double-doubles of the season with 26 points and 17 rebounds.
