Tip-Off for 5/2/13 (featuring The Rock): The Boston Celtics turn back the men in black with a 92-86 victory over the NY Knicks to force Game 6

Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics are going back home for Game 6.

With a 3-1 advantage the New York Knicks came donned in black, looking to bury the Boston Celtics for the season. Boston politely declined to attend the wake surviving Game 5 with a 92-86 victory at Madison Square Garden. The Celtics shot 46 percent from the floor and 50 percent from beyond the arc. Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith shot a combined 11 for 38 from the floor in the loss.



Celtics 92 – Knicks 86 – Jeff Green led the Celtics with 18 points and Kevin Garnett grabbed 18 rebounds as the Celtics head back home for Game 6. Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with a game-high 22 points. Tyson Chandler pulled down 11 boards.

Knicks lead 3-2.

Pacers 106 – Hawks 83 – Indiana dominated the glass 51-28 and pushed the Hawks one game closer to elimination. The Pacers held Atlanta to 33 percent shooting from the floor despite 16 turnovers. David West led all scorers with 24 points and George Hill handed out 10 assists. Josh Smith led Atlanta with 14 points.

Pacers lead 3-2.

Rockets 107 – Thunder 100 – Houston rode the hot hand of James Harden to force a Game 6. Harden scored a game-high 31 points, including 7 of 9 from beyond the arc. Omir Asik scored 21 points and grabbed 11 boards for the Rockets. Kevin Durant scored 36 points, pulled down 7 rebounds and had 7 assists in 44 minutes of action.

Thunder lead 3-2.
