Report: Houston Rockets trade Royce White to the Philadelphia 76ers

(Lady Sings the Sports)

The talented Royce White’s promising career has yet to get off the ground.

The Houston Rockets continue to make moves in hopes of strengthening their roster. The team has traded 2012 first round pick Royce White to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Houston Rockets have traded forward Royce White to the Philadelphia 76ers according to Yahoo Sports Adrian Wojnarowski. White was the 16th overall pick in the 2012 draft out of Iowa State. White suffers from an anxiety disorder — which affects his ability to travel. He spent most of last season in the NBDL Rockets affiliate the Rio Grande Valley Vipers or on suspension by the team. The deal is not finalized, but is said to be for a future second-round pick.

The Rockets most recently left White off of their summer league roster.

  1. I wrote a post 2012/11/18 that the Raptors should trade for White. Philadelphia made a smart move.
He will be able to make most away games without taking a plane. New York, Brooklyn, Toronto, Detroit and Boston are all cities, which White can travel by train or private bus to attend.
White has top 10 talent. The Sixers can hire a psychologist who can travel with him to make sure White attends games.
Yes, White would have to be put to sleep when he goes on West Coast trips.
I hope it works out for White because he is a very talented point forward.
