Jamie Foxx was masterful in his portrayal of Ray Charles.

I’m still in a mental daze following Saturday’s verdict. My thoughts and words come in angry spurts. After commenting early Sunday morning, I found myself in a spectator seat to more division among us. We’re just as divided today about how to react to the situation as we were on Friday when one’s Blackness was gauged on what your Facebook profile picture featured. I’ll give my views on everything shortly.

We’re all witnesses to the power of music. Today, I’m asking for your top five movie soundtracks.

A jury of six women found George Zimmerman not guilty of murder in the 2nd degree.

Stunned, but honestly not surprised George Zimmerman got off clean for murdering Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida. Those who expect the system to benefit folk it was not set up to protect are at this point delusional. The prosecution’s case straight up sucked and the defense took full advantage. America does not care about Black people. This is obvious and always has been. I must write something on this, but I have to honestly get myself together first. This country is sick and so are the lot of its people.
