Riley Cooper’s mouth has set off a firestorm in Philadelphia.
In a time where racial tempers are flared at the slightest mention of anything that looks or sounds offensive, Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper lets off at a Kenny Chesney concert.
Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper was caught on video using a racial slur at a Kenny Chesney concert at Lincoln Financial in June. Cooper was among friends when he got into an altercation with an African-American security guard at the concert.
Cooper was quoted as saying, “I will jump this fence and fight every nigger in here bro.” At that point he was restrained by friends.
When notified of the video, Cooper issued an apology via Twitter and held an impromptu press conference with the media.
I am so ashamed and disgusted with myself. I want to apologize. I have been offensive. I have apologized to my coach, Jeffrey Lurie, and .?.?.
Howie Roseman and to my teammates. I owe an apology to the fans and to this community. I am so ashamed, but there are no excuses. What I did .?.?. Was wrong and I will accept the consequences. @RileyCooper_14
Here is another video of Cooper prior to the concert getting into a verbal altercation with concert goers.
Riley Cooper was penciled in as the Eagles No. 2 receiver after Jeremy Maclin suffered a season-ending injury over the weekend.
