Megatron made scorched earth of the Cowboys secondary with 14 receptions for 329 yards.

Calvin Johnson had the second greatest statistical day for a wide receiver in the Detroit Lions stunning 31-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. Johnson’s 329 yards were second only to Flipper Anderson — who had 335 yards for the former Los Angeles Rams in 1989. Matthew Stafford scored on a 1-yard plunge after a fake spike to five the Lions a thrilling victory.

The Denver Broncos trailed the team from DC 21-14 heading into the fourth quarter before exploding for 38 unanswered points in a 45-21 romp. Peyton Manning overcame throwing three picks and losing a fumble to pass for 354 yards and four touchdowns. Robert Griffin III left the contest early with a left knee injury.
