@TSFSports Thanksgiving Day Predictions: The Ravens and Steelers fight for second place after dessert
Pickings will be slim for grub and playoff spots when the Ravens and Steelers meet tonight.
The NFL Thanksgiving nightcap has the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers in a battle for second place in the AFC North. Earlier games include: The Detroit Lions hosting the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys welcome the Oakland Raiders to Jerry Jones’ digs.
Thursday November 28, 2013 12:30 pm:
Green Bay Packers (5-5-1) at Detroit Lions (6-5) – The Packers have been a wreck since Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone on November 4th. Every part of the Green Bay offense has struggled. Last week’s tie against the Minnesota Vikings was the crowning embarrassment. The Lions have lost two and a row and are in danger of losing the division lead with a loss today. Matt Stafford has the arm and the weapons to work magic, but he can’t throw four picks today.
Lions 23 – Packers 13

Oakland Raiders (4-7) at Dallas Cowboys (6-5) – The Cowboys gained a character win against the Giants last week. Tony Romo put the team in position to win the game after blowing a 15-point lead. This is the most winnable game on their remaining schedule with Chicago, Green Bay, DC and Philly looming. The Raiders are actually playing for a playoff spot in late November. With slim hopes, Oakland can creep back into the playoff picture with a win today. Matt McGloin will probably get the start once again for the Silver and Black.
Cowboys 27 – Raiders 16
Thursday November 28, 2013 8:30 pm:
Pittsburgh Steelers (5-6) at Baltimore Ravens (5-6) – The Steelers have won three in a row and are looking for a season sweep of the Ravens. Ben Roethlisberger is playing better and connecting with his receivers on the deep ball. There isn’t much in the way of a running game, but they have been able to manage without one thus far. The Ravens are all together defensively, but the offense continues to sputter. Ray Rice and Joe Flacco need to get on the same page if the Ravens are going to make a run.
Steelers 20 – Ravens 17
