The Cowboys postseason hopes will rest on the arm of backup Kyle Orton.
Romo aggravated the injury in yesterday’s 24-23 victory over DC. The Cowboys needed a win to face Philadelphia in a winner-take-all meeting Sunday. Kyle Orton will start in place of Romo.
Philadelphia Eagles fans will without a doubt view the news as a gift from the football gods. Fans had better proceed with caution, the Eagles are a week removed from an embarrassing loss to a Minnesota Vikings team who was without starters Toby Gerhart, Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder.
Stranger things have happened in this bitter rivalry and Sunday could add another chapter.
