TNT NBA Tip-off presented by AutoTrader.com
Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith

Western Conference All-Star reserves:

LaMarcus Aldridge Portland Trail Blazers
Damian Lillard Portland Trail Blazers
Chris Paul Los Angeles Clippers
Tony Parker San Antonio Spurs
James Harden Houston Rockets
Dwight Howard Houston Rockets
Dirk Nowitzki Dallas Mavericks

Barkley on Clippers point guard Chris Paul: “He’s the best leader in the NBA.”

Barkley on Rockets center Dwight Howard: “He’s a really good player. He’s an All-Star, but he can’t be your best player. I don’t think he’s gotten a ton better as a player. He’s not a franchise player.”

Eastern Conference All-Star reserves:

Chris Bosh Miami Heat
Roy Hibbert Indiana Pacers
Joakim Noah Chicago Bulls
John Wall Washington Wizards
Paul Millsap Atlanta Hawks
Joe Johnson Brooklyn Nets
DeMar DeRozan Toronto Raptors

Barkley on the Pacers’ Lance Stephenson not making the Eastern Conference All-Star team: “It’s a travesty that he’s not an All-Star.”

Smith on the Brooklyn Nets: “They are going to possibly catch Atlanta or another team in the Eastern Conference [standings]. They are going to be a three or four seed [in the playoffs].”

Smith on Hawks point guard Jeff Teague: “He might not be an All-Star but he’s the most valuable player on the Hawks. If [Al] Horford gets hurt, the Hawks can sustain…but if [Teague] gets hurt, they cannot sustain.”

Barkley on the Wizards guard combo of John Wall and Bradley Beal: “John Wall and Bradley Beal are going to be the best backcourt in basketball in five years.”

Barkley on whether the Phoenix Suns can maintain their success this season: “I don’t think they can. It all depends on [injured Eric] Bledsoe. If he’s out for an extended amount of time, I don’t think they can keep it up. But [head coach] Jeff Hornacek has done a fantastic job.”

O’Neal on the Suns: “When you have five guys on the court that play with enthusiasm, they move the ball and play with energy…I will take that over one talented guy anytime. They are playing loose…I think they can keep it up.”
