@TSFSports NFL Week 4 previews and predictions: Wounded Eagles face the struggling 49ers

(TotalSportsLive.com)

Rookie wideout Jordan Matthews faces a stiff test against the 49ers secondary this week.

The Eagles 3-0 record has not come without a price, guard Evan Mathis (MCL sprain) and center Jason Kelce (sports hernia) will be lost for several weeks and second year tackle Lane Johnson will be eligible to return to the team next week after serving a four game suspension. The makeshift line could be the reason last season’s leading rusher LeSean McCoy is averaging 2.9 yards per carry despite the offense putting up 33 points per contest.

Nevertheless, the Birds are undefeated and face a struggling 49ers squad (1-2) dealing with holes in their vaunted defense. Linebacker Navarro Bowman (knee) and defensive end Aldon Smith (suspension) will both miss action.
