@TSFSports Week 7 NFL previews and predictions: Cam Newton and the Panthers look to cool off a hot Aaron Rodgers and the Packers

Cam Newton stepped back into 2011 form in last week’s tie against the Bengals.

The last time the Carolina Panthers (3-2-1) faced the Green Bay Packers (4-2), quarterback Cam Newton was embarking on what became a record-setting rookie season. Newton was 28 for 46 for 432 yards and a touchdown and three picks, he also had 10 rushes for 53 yards and a score. Newton’s performance prompted Packers signal caller Aaron Rodgers — fresh off a Super Bowl — to speak about how “impressed” he was with with the rookie in only his second game.

With the Panthers backfield once again on the mend, the Panthers need a vintage performance from Newton to upend the Packers, winners of three straight.

Bye: Buccaneers and Eagles

I am really hoping the Panthers win the NFC South. The rest of the division is a hot mess.
