@TSFSports NFL Week 7 previews and predictions: Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers headline a Mile High Showdown

Through the first half of the 2014 season few have stood taller than Phillip Rivers.

Two seasons ago, everyone was ready to send Phillip Rivers out to pasture. Blown leads and catastrophic miscues all but sealed the San Diego Chargers quarterback’s fate. Rivers rebounded in 2013 and advanced to the AFC Divisional Round before bowing out to the Denver Broncos.

This week, the Chargers (5-2) look to continue their uncharacteristically fast start against the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning — the NFL’s new all-time touchdown king.

Bye: 49ers and Giants

The Rams shocker over the Seahawks gets my nod for Game of the Week.
