Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin address the Seattle press about some of the NFL’s double standards.
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was fined$100,000 by the NFL for violating the league’s media policy after the team’s victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on November 17th. Lynch was warned by league offices prior to the fine. Unfazed, Lynch left the locker room, but spoke with Mike Silver and former teammate Marcus Robinson (both NFL employees) by phone. Apparently, this wasn’t good enough for Roger Goodell and a fine was levied.
What followed after Sunday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals was a session which may have been awkward for reporters, yet entertaining to the public.
Not to be outdone, teammates Doug Baldwin and Richard Sherman — who will now be known as Dougie Fresh and Slick Rich — took umbrage to the league’s actions and unleashed a freestyle presser, pointing out some of the obvious hypocrisies in the establishment. Both addressed everything from Lynch’s fining to the Seahawks playing two games in five days.
No matter how you look at it Marshawn Lynch was in full compliance after Sunday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals
Dougie and Slick go to bat for their embattled teammate.
Just when you thought Richard Sherman had been muzzled, he makes a rock-crumbling roar. Confirming the locker room of the Super Bowl champions is as unified as ever.
