The blame we have to take for NFL’s personality crisis

Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Greg Hardy and Ray McDonald dominated the headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2014.

The 2014 NFL season will be remembered more for what happened off the field than on it. Incidents involving some of the game’s marquee players raised awareness to child abuse and domestic violence. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell gave fans another reason to demand his resignation as his handling of the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson cases revealed its share of mishandled information.

On the field, exceptional seasons from, the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers have landed them in the NFL’s second season. There will even be a representative from the NFC South with a sub-.500 record. Late season collapses from the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles and possibly the San Diego Chargers is a reminder that there are no guarantees in today’s NFL.

Not a fan of Chris Collinsworth, but his reaction is priceless.
