When I initially saw this as it happened, I thought it was just some irate Cleveland lady fan reppin’ her squad. When they played it back, I almost fell on the floor because that lady was in fact Bron Bron’s Mom Gloria.

Real rap?

She looked like she wanted to crack one of those C’s as it was going down. Straight classic.

Dig the KG get off my baby…I’m sick of ya’ll trying to hurt my baby forearm. You gotta hand it to KG, he’s so respectful.

Well later on…Happy belated Mother’s Day!

Damn LeBron…it’s like that? Too bad he didn’t get Pierce huh?

Now you have to win the series and one more so your true legacy will begin.

Hmmm could it be Kobe vs. LeBron?

“Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy.” - F. Scott Fitzgerald Frustration
Not hiding…the court–and his family–is his solitude

Kobe Bean Bryant is the story of how a child from West Philadelphia, grew into a man of worldwide acclaim. It has been 12 years since the fabled NBA Draft of 1996…within that class are the likes of Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Ray Allen, Steve Nash, and Jermaine O’Neal, however none of them are as intriguing as the enigma that is Bryant.

All of you who thought KG didn’t make big shots…witness last night

Something I always wanted to ask…Sup with the foggy almost surreal atmosphere in Boston? –Mizzo

Barkley on the Cleveland/Boston series: “I think (Cleveland vs. Boston) is going to be a very good series. It’s going to be a terrific series and I’m really looking forward to it. I still like the Celtics to win the series, but it can go either way because LeBron (James) is the best player on the floor. It’s going to come down to role players. Cleveland runs that horrible offense where they give the ball to LeBron and let him go one on five, that won’t work against the Celtics unless they speed up the tempo of the game and get (Wally) Szczerbiak going, get Delonte West going.”

Chris Paul is as fearless as any athlete playing any game. Is he the real MVP?

Barkley on Game #7 of the Hawks/Celtics series: “I’m still going with the Celtics (to win the series), but if they lose (Game #7) it will be the biggest upset in NBA history. The Celtics need to relax. They don’t need to play in Atlanta (anymore); Atlanta has to win in Boston. Is everyone surprised this series has gone seven games? No question, but the Celtics have got to relax. That’s why they play the regular season; they’ve got the home court (advantage). Nobody talks about the job (Hawks head coach Mike Woodson) has done getting the Hawks to the playoffs. Everyone thought this series was going to be a Boston sweep. I take my hat off to the Atlanta Hawks.”

Whassup Etan? What’s good with you?

Barkley on the Mavericks and the Suns making personnel changes: “I hate to see Avery Johnson (get fired) but coaches are going to get fired. Mike D’Antoni in Phoenix pushed for the Shaq (O’Neal) trade. Hindsight is 20/20 and the trades did not work. I thought it was admirable of Dallas to get Jason Kidd. I thought it was admirable for the Suns to get Shaq. The Suns lost because they don’t play any defense. The Mavericks lost because they aren’t a good team top-to-bottom. I know that Jason (Kidd) is going to get the blame, but they aren’t a very good team.”

Don’t talk smack J.R. when Kobe is on fire and your team is getting blown out

Los Angeles 122, Denver 107

Lakers lead Denver 2-0

Kobe Bryant was one point away from becoming just the fourth player in NBA history with a 50 point/10 assist game–a feat I call the +70. LeBron James had one this year against the Knicks, Stephon Marbury did it with the Suns and then you have to go back to 1975 when Kareem Abdul Jabbar accomplished the feat with 50 points/15 boards/11 assists.

Hornets lead series 2-0

Yes he is. The legend is in fact…fact. Chris Paul became the first player in NBA history to have two games of 30 points, 10 assists and 3 steals and also the first player to do the aforementioned in his first two playoff games.
