We declare our right on this earth…to be a human being, to be respected as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being in this society, on this Earth, in this day, which we intend to bring into existence BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

Malcolm X

This may seem a bit capricious when compared to how I usually write, however its quite the contrary. A quiet storm has been on the horizon for a few years…its just that I do not talk nor write about the trouble on my mind very often. This is a message to the BLACK journalist, about how and why we are essential to the media.

I am not going to give the negativity within the media against black people in America any love or support by mentioning them. If you have been paying attention you would know exactly who and what I’m trying not to talk about.

The Lake Show continues in LA

In the aftermath of Game 2, most of the blame went towards the officials…however the time is now for Los Angeles to regroup and play like the Western Conference champions that they are. Either that, or prepare for a bitter summer vacation. Read more »

Bury my heart at wounded knee

Game 1

It gets no rougher than the NBA Finals

Losing is a part of winning, and both are a part of the game, be it basketball, baseball, football, or life. Sometimes when you lose, you can learn how to dig deep and win. This philosophy works for both the Lakers and the Celtics. 3 members of the Lake Show have the bitter taste of Finals defeat at the hands of the Detroit Pistons, while the C’s Big Three have never stepped upon the NBA’s largest stage. Sometimes when you lose, you win. Read more »

p1_sixers Who Is The All-Time Greatest NBA Champion?
1983 Champs…vastly underrated

If the Boston Celtics win the NBA Championship in June, the team of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett will be considered one of the greatest title teams ever assembled.

With that thought in mind; who do you consider the Greatest NBA Championship Team in your lifetime. Is it the 1996 Chicago Bulls who went 72-10 or was it the 1986 Boston Celtics, the 1985 Lakers or the 1989 Bad Boys of Detroit. Maybe it was my favorite the 1983 Philadelphia 76ers.

Let the debate begin…

Don’t Mess With LeBron James’ Mom Because You Will Get Banged On!

When I initially saw this as it happened, I thought it was just some irate Cleveland lady fan reppin’ her squad. When they played it back, I almost fell on the floor because that lady was in fact Bron Bron’s Mom Gloria.

Real rap?

She looked like she wanted to crack one of those C’s as it was going down. Straight classic.

Dig the KG get off my baby…I’m sick of ya’ll trying to hurt my baby forearm. You gotta hand it to KG, he’s so respectful.

Well later on…Happy belated Mother’s Day!

Damn LeBron…it’s like that? Too bad he didn’t get Pierce huh?

Now you have to win the series and one more so your true legacy will begin.

Hmmm could it be Kobe vs. LeBron?

Barkley on the Cleveland/Boston series: “I think (Cleveland vs. Boston) is going to be a very good series. It’s going to be a terrific series and I’m really looking forward to it. I still like the Celtics to win the series, but it can go either way because LeBron (James) is the best player on the floor. It’s going to come down to role players. Cleveland runs that horrible offense where they give the ball to LeBron and let him go one on five, that won’t work against the Celtics unless they speed up the tempo of the game and get (Wally) Szczerbiak going, get Delonte West going.”
